Simple and Delicious Fruit Crumble

This is my mom's (shout out Mama Dumke) go to recipe for a fruity dessert.  It is classically made with frozen strawberries mixed with rhubarb, but any berry/apple/peach/other fruit combination works great!  Topped with a warm cake-mix topper, a pat of butter, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream...wow!!!!!  So easy and so good!

Ingredients
*Mix of fruits of your choice (use at least two) such as: Chopped rhubarb, chopped strawberries (fresh or frozen), chopped peaches, blackberries, raspberries, etc. (Enough to thoroughly cover the bottom of a 13x9 glass dish).
*About 1 cup of a store-bought white or yellow cake mix (vanilla flavor)
*About 2 Tbs. butter chopped in small cubes.
No added sugar needed! :)

Directions
1.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Chop fruit and spread on the bottom of a 13x9 glass dish.  Sprinkle with lemon juice if desired.

2.  Sprinkle box cake mix over the top of the berries until most of the fruit has a thin top coating.  Top with the butter cubes spread all over the cake mix.

3.  Bake 30-40 minutes at 350 degrees or until the top is golden.

Serving Suggestions:  Use a big spoon to dish out the crumble and top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream...serve warm!  This is a perfect summer dessert and a  great way to use up fruit!
