51...Frozen: 51 Porter Does Ice Cream

ICE CREAM?! Doesn't that require all sorts of fancy equipment and heavy ingredients? NOPE!
This recipe requires only one ingredient, but it has tremendous potential to transform something ordinary into a heavenly delectable we like to call 51...Frozen.

The low-down: frozen fruit, specifically banana, turns into a creamy consistency, almost identical to ice cream, when whizzed in a blender or food processor. Seriously, you will be amazed how a frozen banana can turn into a light, creamy, and frosty treat ready for any and all mix-ins! Whether you're a vegan, vegetarian, or hard-core omnivore, this frozen treat is sure to satisfy any and all sweet cravings! Try out these two variations of 51...Frozen. Definitely more variations to come!

51...Frozen Variation #1: Chocolate-Banana
Ingredients
*2 bananas, peeled and then frozen (make sure to freeze the banana peeled)
*2 tsps. nutella and/or 3 tsps. chocolate chips, melted

Directions
1.) Remove frozen banana from freezer and chop in chunks. Add banana pieces to food processor and blend for about 1 minute or until the mixture is creamy (seriously, it will become creamy and fluffy).
2.) Add nutella and blend or swirl in.
3.) Serve immediately or store in freezer

Tips and Variations: The frozen banana base is a perfect template for many mix-ins. Melted chocolate chips are also fantastic when swirled in at the end. Top your banana 51...Frozen with a dollop of cool whip and an extra drizzle of nutella for a classy presentation!

51 Frozen Variation #2: Creamy Strawberry
Ingredients
*1 cup frozen, chopped strawberries
*2 heaping tablespoons cool whip

Directions:
1.) Place frozen strawberries in the food processor (you might want to let the frozen strawberries defrost a few minutes on the counter because they tend to be harder then the bananas). Blend for 1 minute.
2.) Add the cool whip and blend until creamy, sorbet-like consistency is reached.
3.) Serve immediately or store in freezer

Tips and Variations: A handful of melted white chocolate chips adds another layer of decadence to this frosty delight!
