Cooking with local ingredients can be a challenge, especially when what’s local is not a palate favorite. Exploring Local Ingredients Part Deux: Pretzels au Chocolat
A recent weekend adventure to Germany did not actually take me to Bavarian, famous for its pretzels, but the trip did drive me to purchase a salty snack for the road. Combining crunchy German pretzels with melted Belgian chocolate is a perfect blend of sweet and salty, crunchy and creamy, and perhaps…Germans and Belgians.
Ingredients:
-Belgian Chocolate (or any good chocolate)
-Bag of your favorite salty pretzels
Directions:
Melt chocolate and drizzle chocolate over the pretzels. You could dip the pretzels as well or melt different flavors and make a cross pattern of various chocolate varieties.
